I am planing on geting a ball python,should I get one.?

They say that ball pythons and corn snakes are good first snakes. I'd prefer the ball python myself, they have a stout body and don't get to big. They have a good article about ball pythons in the 2007 reptiles magazine. I think their website is www.reptilesmagazine.com

Sure.I used to have 2 of them. They are mild mannered, and low maintenance. If you want a snake, a ball python is the best choice

ball pythons are very well temperd and pretty snakes. they dont get too big 5feet at the most but they get really thick. ball pythons got there name from "balling up" when they are threatened. but with any snake there always is a chance of getting nailed. always use caution. wash hands after handeling the snake,or snakes food(they cant see well) and dont handel for atleast 24hrs after feeding u can make them puke. so.if ur looking for a med sized good temped snake yes it would make a good pet.
well, i have 2 of my own all reptiles require maintinance which means do you know how to care for it ?, do you have the proper materials such as heat lamp , UV bulb, Food mice and rats , And water. Dont forget the bedding and size of cage also ball pythons like to feel secure when they sleep or relax so you can get a box or a small house for it to sleep or lay in.
I have 3 ball pythons and a red tail boa. The ball python is a very good snake, its very low maintenance. You don't have to feed it live mice and try to get a snake that has been captive bread, wild caught ones are generally more aggressive. You will probably want to keep it in a 30 to 40 gallon tank when it is full size. Id say a 40 breeder tank is best. If you would like a longer snake get a red tail boa. they are a little more expensive but they get to be about 13 feet long and quite large. But they are also very easy to take care of.
yes you should get one. i have 2 of them and they are good beginner snakes. i have 3 kids and they all hold them everyday. they are not hard to care for at all and very easy animals. if you get one then the first thing you want to do is to get the tank(29gal) to start with for a baby one about 1/2 ft long, next get the under tank heater(10-20gal size), heat light that gives off uvb lighting as well, water bowl( but not to deep),a hiding place, and a rock for him to scrap up against when he sheds, also you will need some substrate for the bottom of the tank like carefresh bedding. now here is what you do, the tank put the heat pad under the the tank on one side, flip the tank back up and set it up with all the things that you got. put the substrate on the bottom(about 1in thick), put the water bowl in there on the cool side away from the heat pad, put the rock in there in the middle or off to the side not to close to the heat, place the heat light on the top of the tank on the screen top.
make sure that you keep the temp around 84-86 during the day and during the night keep it around 74-76, this is ideal for them to stay healthy and active. so all you need for your python if you get it is: bedding, heat light, heat pad, bowl, rock, and lots of tlc. at night you need to turn the light off so they will know the difference between dark and light. you can add other things in the tank for them but pythons just usually stay in one place til the night time then they will move around. they are nocturnal animals so they will be motionless in the day but they will move around at night. you will need to feed them live mce and when they get bigger you will feed them rats. my female is eating lg rats and my male is eating sm-med rats. you get used to it but you should get one they are fun animals to have.
