how to take care of pet lizardzs?

Answers:
It would be useful to know what kind of lizard. You do need good light sources, and they must be kept at a certain temperature. Most of them eat crickets and pinkies (baby mice). They need a water supply, preferably without the chlorine (such as bottled water).
What kind of lizard is it? The care can be as varyed as a hamster is to an elephant.
They need heat an that changes from species to species.
They also need a separate source of "full spectrum light"
They need special diet.
Go to a good pet store near you and see what they have.
Expect to spend over $100.
Leave them alone in the garden. Lizards are not supposed to be house pets.
I have a variety of lizards.Depending on the lizard they eat crickets.I have in the summer caught grasshoppers for them but you have to take their legs of so they are easy to swallow.I have an aquarium and I keep a piece of plexiglass with holes for air and have a regular light on top and it puts out enough heat for them. They are easy to take care of.I made mine into a terarium and put live plants in with them for beauty. They like it and don't eat them. They are alot of fun to watch and easy to take care of.Good luck with your new pet.
well first you need to make sure that you have the right size tank, you will need 2 heat sourses like under the tank heater and heat light, you will need a full spectrum light, a night light( like an infrared) the right substrate for the bottom of the tank, the right size water bowl so they don't drown, some decos for the cage to make it look good, a spray bottle for water to spray the reptile, a multi-vitamin and a calcium vitamin, and lots of tlc for your new pet. i own several reptiles and i do spend alot of mney on all the basics for them but it is worth every penny because at least if you are willing to spend that much on any of your animals than that says you care for them.
As a general rule of thumb, all lizards require a source of heat, light, humidity, food, and water. First of all, for a heat source, zoomed makes a basking heat lamp that works exceptionally well. The heat lamp produces all around heat rather than in just one area, such as a heat rock, which should be avoided at all cost. Heat rocks should only be used as A LAST RESORT, and should be buried under sand if used. Secondly, for a light source, any lamp that produces uv rays will provide your reptile ample lighting considering the terrarium size to light size ratio. Any light emitted outside the terrarium walls is wasted light, and any light centralized in one area of the terrarium is too much. Third of all, ambient humidity should be kept low (around 15% to 40%) for desert dwelling reptiles, and for tropical reptiles around 85% to 100%. First find info. about the reptile's natural habitat and mimic what you find. The fourth, and primarily the most important is the diet of the lizard. Variety is key to maintaining a healthy lizard. General staples of diet should be researched, such as crickets (sprinkeled with a vitamin supliment) for lizards like anoles, and fuzzies(baby mice) for such lizards like tokay geckos. Last of all, all lizards require a source of water. The use of a water dish made of porcelain is sufficient and will provide the terarium with ambient humidity as well. To measure the temperature and humidity, use a hygrometer placed inside the aquarium to do this. Finally, CLEAN THE CAGE as often as you can without harming the lizard. I hope this helps. If not gain information by asking someone in herpetology at your local zoo.
Leave them alone in the wild where they belong.
U FINGER THEM TIL THEY CRY
firstly you need a cage, big enough for it for when it is full grown, then u need a UVB light, to represent daylight, and then you need a red light to maintain the heat of the tank at night, you will need a heating pad put it where the red light is, then you need a rock and a log for the lizard to bask on during the day, you have to determine day and night for the lizard, at night you switch the UVB light off because they don't like bright light when they sleep.
then you have to have a bowl with water that is changed on a daily basis, depending on the size of the lizard, if it is still a baby you need to buy crickets the size must not be larger than the space between the eyes, and they need fresh vegetables chopped very fine and sprinkled with calcium, anything that they eat must have calcium sprinkled on it even the crickets, the calcium helps them grow otherwise they will stay small. please don't forget to handle your lizard as much as possible.
But if you have an iguana they are lizards that don't eat flesh, except for the flesh of fruit and vegetables.
