How old is a 26" corn snake and is feeding him weanlings(1-1.5") every four days too much?

Answers:
A 26" corn snake is young/middle-aged.
There is no exact year in terms of corn snake but if he was a human he would be 25-30.
Young, basically.

And you are feeding him good enough, but to be sure, one every 3 days is best.
No clue.
sounds like your snake is about 2 - 2 1/2 years old not sure about feeding intervals check pics on net for what a fat corn snake looks like if your doesnt look like pics probably OK
Your corn snake is probably about 2 years old. Are you feeding him RAT weanlings? I don't think that a 26 inch corn snake can eat weanlings. Mine is more than 3 feet long and she's still on adult mice. And anyway, every 4 days is waaaay too much. That's super power feeding, and your snake is going to get obese. Yes, snakes get obese. Yes, snakes can get obese, and it's even worse for them than it is for humans. Their skin only stretches so much, and the fat constricts their organs and they can die. Not just heart problems, etc. Much worse. They can die from the fat directly. You only need to feed an adult corn snake every 2 weeks, and younger ones more often. Yours should probably be fed every 8-10 days. You don't want your snake to end up like this: http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/9753/.
1-2 yrs old. If your snake will eat that often, give it what it wants. It's much better to have an eager feeder rather than a stubborn feeder. At that age, your snake is becoming sexually mature %26 may start brumation(hibernating) %26 will eat more to build up some fat to tide it over during this inactive period.
yes thats too much he sounds like hes over one yr so feed fuzzies (1 or 2) one size up from pinkies once per week. you cant handle the snake after feeding for 2 days or it could regurgitate teh food (not good) if you feed more frequently then you cant pick it up as often. if fuzzies seem too small try hoppers but they should be mice not rats untill hes a bit older and bigger around. my corn is 5 yrs and is just over 5 ft he just started to eat full grown mice or hopper fuzzy rats once per week. Corns dont get very fat around they stay long and sleek.
He is no where near two years, and if he is, and he is only 26 inches, he needs more food.

Dont reduce to three days, every four to five is good while he is still on pinkies (the small ones you are referring to). How many are you feeding him?

He will let you know if you are feeding him too much, trust me.

Anyways, the next time that you feed him, notice how long the lump in his stomach stays there. It should stay there for about three days. Anything less than three, he needs to be moved up to the next level. After pinkies, comes fuzzies. If you dont want to move him up to the fuzzies, then feed him two pinkies (if you were feeding him one).

Hope that helped.
Your snake is about 2-3 yrs oldfeed him2 rats bigg enough for him every5-7 days.I know iI have 8 corn snakes
usually there is no way to know unless you there on the day of its birth and they usually need to be fed every 3 - 4 weeks
