There are a variety of species of chameleon that can be kept in captivity. Depending on the species they can live for 5 to 10 years, but often they only live for a few years as they are not looked after properly.
Chameleons are quite difficult to look after, but it can be done as long as you do your research. They do not like being handled and are quite delicate creatures so if you want a touchy-feely pet to stroke then chameleons aren't for you. They also need UV light, regualar misting, feeing with live crickets and having their diet supplemented with calcium etc.
Anyway, the specific care does vary from species to species so I've put some links to various caresheets for you.
If you decide to get one, research, research, research, then enjoys your chameleon as it enjoys a long and happy life :)
If you take good care of it, it can live to be 9 - 10 years old.
depends on u that how u take care of them.and if they r healthy!!
