How much are lizards?

Answers:
It depends on what kind of lizard and it's size as well as where you get it. I've always gotten mine free by catching them myself or my cats bringing them to me. But for the more exotic types like kimodo dragons or gila monsters you will have to pay the going price in your area. Iguana are fun, nice looking, and fairly trainable. Plus you can get harnessess to walk them on a leash.
like 7 dollars 4 a young iguana
free if you catch them yourself.
how much are they to buy? or house?
Depends on the lizard.

To buy:

Bearded dragon- $60 from a pet store, $150-300 depending on age, from a breeder for a morph. (the morphs just have prettier colors)

Iguana- $30 from a pet store, free if you adopt or rescue (all 3 of mine are rescues, do a search online for rescues in your area)

Chameleon- $160-ish from a pet store, upwards of $600 from a breeder for the really colorful panther chameleons.

Geckos- range from $25-$60 in a pet store, not sure from breeder; this is one of the only lizards i have never had

as far as cost to house them:

Bearded Dragons: $5-100 for a tank, $40 for a UVB from a pet store, $25 for UVB online, $20-ish for heat lamp (depending on which lamp you get, bulbs run about $8.) $5 for carpet or shelf liner for bottom or $4 for play sand. rocks for basking from your yard. (NEVER USE HEAT ROCKS FOR LIZARDS) or basking branches/rocks/slate from a store $10-50 depending on how many you buy and how big.

Iguana: habitat runs $25-50 from a store, about the same to build one. see above for UVB and heat lamp prices. $10 for carpet for the habitat and basking perches. basking perches, you can use tree branches for free or $5-20 for pvc pipe(thats what i use.) decoration is up to you. $20-50 for humidifier depending on where you buy it.

Chameleon: $25-60 for habitat, again depending on whether you build or buy, see above for UVB, Heat and Humidifier, $10-20 for substrate depending on how big the cage is. plants, real or fake vary on where you buy them. but chameleons are the highest maintenance of all lizards i have ever housed.

Geckos: never had one; sorry

plus the cost of crickets and worms for the beardies and chameleons. also fresh veggies. and lots of veggies for the iguanas.

komodo dragons and gila monsters are ILLEGAL unless you have an exotic reptile license. and some places dont even let you keep them even in that case.

Iguanas are high maintenance and can be quite hostile if not raised properly and handled often. if you are a beginner lizard owner i would recommend a bearded dragon (i have 2, they are sweet) or a leapard gecko (i have heard they are great pets)
It all depend on what kind you are looking for and the age of it. I had to Chinese water dragons and they cost $20 a piece when they were babies just born like 4 weeks old. Iguanas are more money and it also depends if they are male or females. Females go for more money as they can reproduce so you may want to check them out at the pet store before you go and buy them. I also think Bearded Dragons are more money too like $30-$40 bucks each and that is if they are babies adult are much more. Compare prices at several stores before you buy one. Good Luck Lizards make great pets if you treat them with kindness and handle them alot when they are young.
You have to be much more specific. There are tonnes of different breeds, and it also depends on the age, size, breeder. Google breeders in the area, it's the best way to find out.
What kinda lizard are you talking about, cause they range from 15 dollars to 1000 dollars, depending on how rare and endangered they are. Iguanas are one of the cheapest, but I don't recommend them for beginners, you should try a chameleon, baby ones run for 25 to 35 dollars. Do the lizard an favor and do some research and learn how to take take care of it before you buy it.
