i have had this bearded dragon for about two weeks and it is still scared of me. it wont let me touch it. what can i do?
Answers:
Your dragon is a reptile , they do not like or dislike people.
He will respond to ideal, warm humid conditions,
and his favorite food ( meal worms / crickets, or whatever is best for him)
Be patient ,;
don't attempt to touch him till he feels secure
it will take him some time to realize,
that you are the source, of all things good
and that have no ambitions to eat him !
also get a good book ,on bearded dragon management
and join a local reptile club , for first hand tips from experts
Good luck with your beardie , i am sure he will get more friendly soon .

try to hand feed it some crickets. and try to let it see your the one feeding him. Usally bearded dragons love crickets and thats a good way to interact with it.
Bearded dragons are considered a "puppy dog" reptile because of their ease in handling and actually seeming to enjoy it. If your baby is still frightened by you there maybe something that is still freaking it out. Being so small they do see many things as something that may want to eat them. Allow the baby to see your hand before you pick it up. Offering a food bribe is also a great way to earn trust. Silkworms and small superworms are excellent bribes. Let it sit on you while your on the pc or watching tv.
If your cage is on the floor.get it up on something a little higher. Set a hide box in there for security. Make sure your temps are right (105 - 110 in the basking area), a good UVB source and the right size/types of foods. Insects should be no bigger than the distance between it's eyes.
I listed a couple of good websites for beardie care in case you want to touch on a couple more care tips.:-)
Reptiles or any kind of animal run or hide from us because they think they will get hurt or harmed the way you get him to like you is to show him your not there to harm him, what I do with my reptiles when there like that is I take everythig out of thier cage then I try and pet them, or hand feed them, or just put your hand next to it, etc. if he runs let him run to where he wants to run then attempt it again. after he starts cooperating then you'll wanna continue this procedure and mix it up a little so he knows he safe!
Act like a meal worm!! ?;)~
really um u just hold it often but like wash ure hands so it doesnt get sick or anything you dont have to hand feed it but it helps lettting it explore you like climb on your shirt its pretty simple they get attatched to their owners eaisly so it shouldnt be a problem.
